So squishy I keep grabbing it off my desk
Worked it up in a chenille yarn and honestly it’s the softest thing I’ve made. The dumpling sits perfectly in the little steamer and my whole family keeps stealing it. Even the steamer part, which I thought would be fiddly, was easy to follow.

too cute 🥟
made this in one evening. so cute i already started a second one in pink. the note about where to put the eyes was really helpful.

Lovely, but the steamer took me longer
The dumpling itself was really quick and beginner friendly. The steamer base I had to redo once because I miscounted, but that was totally my fault not the pattern. Def worth it, looks adorible sitting on my shelf now.

Made it for my sister who loves dim sum
My sister is obsessed with dumplings so I made this for her birthday and she actually screamed when she opened it. I used a slightly bigger hook and chunkier yarn so it came out a good size to hug. The photos in the pdf made every step clear, I didn’t get stuck once. Will definitely be making more of these as gifts.

Cute result, just hard to see stitches in fuzzy yarn
The pattern is great and the finished plushie is adorable. My only struggle was that the chenille yarn hides the stitches so counting was tricky, but honestly that’s a yarn thing not the pattern. I recieved so many compliments on it already.

The dumpling fits the steamer perfectly
Was a bit worried the two pieces wouldn’t sit right together but the sizing is spot on — the dumpling nestles into the steamer like it’s meant to. Such a satisfying little make.

Great first amigurumi
This was my first ever amigurumi and I finished it in a weekend. Clear rounds, nothing scary. So happy with how it turned out.

Came out bigger than I expected
Not a problem with the pattern at all, I just used a really thick yarn and it turned into more of a pillow sized dumpling haha. Still super cute and my kids love it. Next time I’ll go down a hook size. The steamer instructions were clear.

obsessed

Had to reread one round but got there
As a beginner there was one round on the steamer edge I had to read a couple of times before it clicked — would have loved a photo for that exact bit. Everything else was really well explained though, and I’m really pleased with how mine turned out.
